The 48 Laws of Power by Robert Greene

I first read this book back in the mid-2000s. I worked with a man who had been arrested and sentenced to 9 years in prison for a drug conspiracy charge. Ironically, he said he was innocent of the charges that he actually got locked up over. Either way, M.M. said that every con with a brain read this book. The book is satanic in my opinion. It explains the way power works using examples from history.

Over and again, the book suggests the brutal, cruel, and deceitful ways in which people in positions of power have gained and lost that power over the centuries. As a work of historical compilation, it is a fascinating read. As a work of deceptive instruction, reader beware. I have met most of the character types the book speaks about. I read the book as instruction against the enemy. People who would deceive you and take advantage of you have read this book.

Drug dealers, politicians, CEOs, and other people in positions of power have read this book, I assure you. Reading it can only prepare you for enemy attack. Be wary of power hungry people. If you must engage with them, know their playbook!
